All meals are provided by the nursery and are prepared fresh from the kitchen.

 

The nursery is open all year round 7.30am – 6pm. However, we are closed on public holidays and details of these dates are displayed on our parent’s notice board.

Fees are paid 4 weeks in advance, by direct debit, standing order or cheque. Should fees remain outstanding for 2 weeks, the nursery is under no obligation to keep your child’s place.

 

A Deposit of £100 is required prior to a placement request being reserved. It is Non-Refundable in the event of cancellation of the request. When the child starts, this amount will form part of your first months fees.

 

4 weeks written notice is required if you intend to change sessions or withdraw your child from nursery.

Children are entitled to one week unpaid holiday annually. If your child attends nursery full time you will be entitled to 5 days holidays per year: if your child attends nursery 3 days you will be entitled to 3 days holidays per year etc.

 

DISCOUNTS

If you have two or more children attending the nursery a 10% reduction in fees for the older child will be deducted.

10% discount will also be applied if you work within the business park (please speak to Lynn regarding this)

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare vouchers is a scheme some employers offer to help working parents save on registered childcare costs. Childcare vouchers are not means tested and are available to all working parents whose employers operate childcare voucher schemes. These schemes can save you national insurance and income tax as a set weekly/monthly amount can be deducted from your salary and used to provide childcare vouchers for the same amount. This amount is deducted from the gross salary and is exempt from National Insurance and Income Tax. Our nurseries accept childcare vouchers.

 

GOVERNMENT VOUCHER SCHEME

 

Childcare Voucher scheme is a simple and cost-effective way for employers and employees to save money on childcare costs.

 

In April 2005, the Government introduced Childcare Vouchers, to help parents benefit from these savings, earning them extra disposable income, with new limits being introduced in April 2006.

 

A Childcare Voucher scheme can only be used as part of an employee benefit provided by an employer. Employees elect to take up to a maximum of £55 per week (£243 per month) of their salary as Childcare Vouchers. The amount chosen does not attract Tax or National Insurance contributions.

 

Savings to be made… • Savings of up to £962 per year for a 22% tax payer • Savings of up to £1,196 per year for a 40% tax payer • Both parents can take advantage of the scheme, therefore doubling their saving • Employers also save on their National Insurance Contributions, saving up to £373 per year / per employee.

 

In families where both parents are taxpayers there are potential savings of between £1,196 to £2,392 per annum , and parents have the flexibility to split childcare costs between them to make the most of their Tax and National Insurance savings. The Childcare Voucher scheme will significantly benefit most families in the UK with vouchers quickly becoming the preferred method for parents to pay for their childcare, and more Employers offering this scheme to their Employees as part of their benefits package. Tax Credits (child benefit)

Nine out of ten families are eligible for some financial assistance through the Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit. The amount you receive will depend on your circumstances. Working Tax Credit includes a childcare element to help families who are working and spending money on childcare.

Working Tax Credit if you are responsible for a child

 

If you are responsible for a child or young person, you can get Working Tax Credit provided you work at least 16 hours a week if you’re single, or at least 24 hours between you if you’re in a couple, with one of you working at least 16 hours a week. Some couples with children may qualify without working for 24 hours between them, provided one of them works 16 hours – see above). Your income also needs to be low enough. A child is someone under 16, and a young person is someone who is 16, 17, 18 or 19 and still in full-time education up to A level or equivalent, or on certain approved training courses. You are responsible for a child or young person if they normally live with you or you have main responsibility for their care. You cannot usually get Working Tax Credit if your child is in local authority care.

 

You may be able to get Working Tax Credit for a short period after your child is 16 or leaves school, depending on when their birthday is and what they do on leaving school.

 

If you are on maternity leave, paternity leave or adoption leave and you normally work 16 hours or more, you can claim Working Tax Credit before you go back to work, as long as you are responsible for a child. If it is your first baby and you are not responsible for any other children, you will have to wait until the child is born, or comes to live with you before you can claim.
